Developed from a prompt from an art challenge from Inktober "Toad". This  piece was crafted after an interesting conversation about money and a persons drive to strive for it beyond whatever means necessary. Not even willing to help others just to hold on to one's wealth.

It is said that "Money doesn't change you, it only brings to light what you already were." It makes me wonder about the pursuit of happiness and how one must find it in whatever situation they find it. Build our character for the better now because in the end we could be a toad sitting on a pile of money. 

Inspired by events in life. This piece is meant to embody the sadness that still lingers from within. In this day and age many will tell you their feelings, however, societal expectations, trauma, or fear will keep many from fully expressing what's really stemming from within. Deeps greens and blue add a more somber feel to the overall piece. The tears pouring through the mask emphasize a sadness beyond what is actually seen.
